Terms of service.
The short version
- Suzy is for adults 18 and over, on iPhone.
- She’s a friend for everyday stuff, not a therapist, doctor or lawyer. In an emergency, call 911, or call or text 988.
- Your subscription runs through Apple. Cancel anytime in Settings, at least 24 hours before your trial or billing period ends.
- What you share stays yours, and you can delete it anytime.
1. Who we are
These terms are an agreement between you and Michal Maciejewski, digital-mm, Bahnhofstraße 120c, 61267 Neu-Anspach, Germany (“we”, “us”), who runs Suzy. By creating an account or using Suzy, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy.
2. Who can use Suzy
You need to be at least 18 years old and use an iPhone. By using Suzy, you confirm that you are 18 or older.
3. What Suzy is, and what she isn’t
Suzy is an AI companion for everyday life: outfits, plans, journaling, relationships and the small stuff in between. She runs on artificial intelligence, so she can be wrong, miss context or misunderstand you.
Suzy is not a therapist, doctor, lawyer or financial advisor, and nothing she says is professional advice. Use your own judgment, especially for decisions about your health, money, safety or relationships.
If you’re in crisis or in danger, don’t rely on Suzy. Call 911, or call or text 988 to reach the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline.
4. Your account
You sign in with Apple or with a sign-in link sent to your email. Keep your iPhone, Apple ID and email inbox secure, because you’re responsible for what happens in your account.
You can delete your account anytime in the app under Settings. Deleting it removes your chats, plans, journal and memories as described in our Privacy Policy. Deleting your account doesn’t cancel your subscription; cancel that in your iPhone Settings.
5. Suzy Plus, free trial and billing
- Suzy Plus is an auto-renewing subscription, offered yearly or weekly. Suzy Max and Suzy Unlimited are monthly subscriptions with higher daily limits or none. Prices and what each plan includes are shown in the app before you buy.
- If your plan includes a free trial, you won’t be charged during the trial. When it ends, your subscription starts automatically and is charged to your Apple ID. To avoid being charged, cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends.
- Your subscription renews automatically at the end of each period unless you turn off auto-renew at least 24 hours before the period ends.
- Manage or cancel anytime: Settings → your name → Subscriptions → Suzy.
- Apple processes all payments and refunds. To request a refund, go to reportaproblem.apple.com.
- New prices only apply to new subscriptions. We won’t change the price of your existing subscription without your consent.
- Suzy Plus and Suzy Max have daily limits on messages, photo reads and voice. They reset at midnight in your time zone. When you hit the message limit, Suzy keeps replying with a faster, simpler model; photos and voice pick up again the next day. Plans, your journal and Suzy’s memory are never limited. The app shows how much you have left today.
- Suzy Unlimited has no daily limits, but fair use applies: we throttle unusually many requests in a short time, for example from automation, so Suzy stays fast for everyone.
6. Invite a friend
When a friend you invite starts her free trial, you both get 7 days of Suzy Plus, for up to 10 friends a year. Suzy also gets accessories for invites and for things you do with her. Rewards and accessories have no cash value, can’t be cashed out or transferred and belong to your account. We may change or end the program, and we may remove rewards gained through fake accounts or other abuse.
7. Your content
Your messages, photos, journal entries and plans are yours. You give us permission to store and process them only so we can run Suzy for you: to generate replies, keep what you saved, remember what you asked Suzy to remember and show you your patterns. Our Privacy Policy explains how.
Only share what you have the right to share. If you send screenshots or photos that show other people, you’re responsible for that content.
8. Using Suzy fairly
Don’t use Suzy to:
- break the law, or help anyone else break it;
- harass, threaten or exploit anyone, including sharing someone’s private information to hurt them;
- create or share any content that sexualizes or exploits minors;
- copy, reverse-engineer, scrape or resell the app or its AI;
- get around usage limits, security or safety features.
We may suspend or close accounts that break these rules.
9. Our app and our rights
The Suzy app, her name, her look and everything we created for the app belong to us. We give you a personal, non-transferable license to use the app on Apple devices you own or control, for your own non-commercial use.
10. Changes and ending
We keep improving Suzy, so features may change, be added or be removed. If we change these terms in a way that matters, we’ll tell you in the app before the changes take effect. You can stop using Suzy and delete your account at any time.
11. Disclaimers and liability
To the extent the law allows, Suzy is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind, including that her answers are accurate or that the app is always available.
To the extent the law allows, we’re not liable for indirect or consequential damages, and our total liability is limited to what you paid for Suzy in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that the law doesn’t allow us to limit, such as for intent, gross negligence or injury to life, body or health.
12. Apple App Store terms
You got Suzy from the App Store, so these points also apply:
- These terms are between you and us, not Apple. We, not Apple, are solely responsible for Suzy and its content.
- Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for Suzy.
- If Suzy fails to meet any applicable warranty, you can notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price, if any. Apple has no other warranty obligation for Suzy.
- We, not Apple, are responsible for any claims relating to Suzy, including product liability claims, claims that Suzy fails to meet a legal or regulatory requirement, and consumer protection or privacy claims.
- We, not Apple, are responsible for investigating, defending and settling any claim that Suzy infringes someone’s intellectual property rights.
- You confirm that you’re not located in a country subject to a U.S. government embargo or designated by the U.S. government as a “terrorist supporting” country, and that you’re not on any U.S. government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
- You must follow any third-party terms that apply when you use Suzy, such as your wireless carrier’s.
- Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you.
13. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Germany, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. There is no arbitration agreement or class action waiver: you can bring a claim in the courts where you live or in Germany. This doesn’t take away any rights you have under the consumer protection laws where you live.
